1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Bible Quest Games (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the mobile application Bible Quest (the “App”). By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
When you use Bible Quest, you may voluntarily provide:
- A display name (optional) for the in-game leaderboard
- In-app purchase information processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play (we do not collect or store payment card details)
When you use the App, we automatically collect:
- Device information: device model, operating system version, language, time zone, and unique device identifiers (such as IDFA on iOS or AAID on Android, where permitted by you)
- Usage data: questions answered, spins taken, in-app actions, session length, crash reports, and feature usage
- Technical data: IP address (truncated or anonymized where possible), app version, and network information
We use the following third-party services that may collect or process your data on our behalf:
- Firebase (Google) — anonymous authentication, database, analytics, and crash reporting
- Sentry — error monitoring and crash diagnostics
- AdMob (Google) — in-app advertising
- RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management
- Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution and purchase processing
Each provider has its own privacy policy; we encourage you to review them.
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the App — sign you in anonymously, save your progress, and provide core features
- Improve gameplay — analyze how players engage with questions and features so we can fix bugs and balance the game
- Personalize your experience — remember your progress, preferences, and settings across sessions
- Communicate with you — send in-app notifications about streaks, daily challenges, and new content (you can disable these in your device settings)
- Show advertisements — serve relevant ads in the App (only to users who consent and are over 13)
- Process purchases — handle the premium subscription through Apple or Google
- Prevent fraud and abuse — detect cheating, automated play, or violations of our Terms of Use
- Comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests and protect our rights
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited situations:
- With service providers (Firebase, Sentry, AdMob, RevenueCat) acting on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality obligations
- With advertising partners (only aggregated or device-identifier data, only where you consented, and only if you are 13 or older)
- For legal reasons — to comply with subpoenas, court orders, or applicable law; to enforce our Terms of Use; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ourselves or others
- In a business transaction — if we are acquired, merged, or sell assets, your information may transfer to the successor entity
- With your explicit consent for any other purpose
5. Children Under 13
Bible Quest is not directed to children under 13. By using the App, you affirm that you are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at glenbailey@yahoo.com and we will promptly delete that information.
6. Your Choices
You have control over your data:
- Display name: you may change it in the App settings
- Sound and haptics: enable or disable in the App settings
- Push notifications: enable or disable in your device’s notification settings
- Advertising identifier: you can reset or limit ad tracking in your device’s privacy settings (iOS: “Allow Apps to Request to Track”; Android: “Reset advertising ID”)
- Delete your account and data: email us at glenbailey@yahoo.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request” — we will delete your account-associated data within 30 days
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as you actively use the App, and for a reasonable period after that to:
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce our agreements
- Comply with legal obligations
If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Location
Your information is stored and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.
10. Your Rights (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and share
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the “sale” of your personal information (note: we do not sell your data)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
